My art is a reflection of myself. Never pretentious, sometimes romantic. I’m initially drawn to the effects of dramatic light upon our world, then the underlying narrative. Mundane moments and overlooked happenstances interest me more than grandiose subjects as we live live most of our lives amongst them.
Since our recent move to the area, I’ve been drawn to the beautiful landscapes and wildlife of the southern Delaware region utilizing glowing watercolors, hard edged contemporary acrylics and soft luminous oil paint to convey my impressions of the ever changing moods of the coastal area.
My joy in producing emotive artwork is matched only by my desire to teach others to find their own joy and satisfaction with the watercolor medium.
