Sign up now to join Gallery One’s bus trip to the Philadelphia Museum of Art’s
much anticipated A Nation of Artists. Celebrating its 150 anniversary in 2026, the
museum’s installation will offer a sweeping panorama of American art from about
1700 to 1960. Through iconic masterworks and bold interpretations, visitors will
trace the evolution of American identity and visual culture— exploring tensions
between high and low, elite and common, abstraction and realism. Highlighting
the richness and diversity of American art, this exhibition spans generations and
artistic traditions featuring contributions from indigenous, African American,
immigrant and historically underrepresented artists who have helped to shape the
nation’s cultural story .

The Philadelphia Museum of Art is partnering with the Pennsylvania Academy
of the Fine Arts and the gracious loan of 120 never publicly seen artworks
belonging to the John and Leigh Middleton Collection to create a truly landmark
exhibition of American Art as we celebrate the Nation’s 250 Anniversary. We will
only be visiting the portion of the exhibition at the Philadelphia Museum, as the
PAFA exhibit will not be opening until May.

The Philadelphia Museum of Art has been cited the 4th best in the country and
has an incredible collection of over 240,000 objects. It is adjacent to the Rodin
Museum (its annex) and both are included in the admission price, as is the famous
“Rocky” on the steps of this grand Beaux-Arts building.

The cost of the trip is $135.00 which includes admission tickets. Space is limited.
