DESCRIPTION:        \nGallery One Bus Trip\nThursday\, October 29 \, 2026 \nThe Baltimore Museum of Art & The American Visionary Art Museum \nJoin Gallery One’s “Double Feature” bus trip to The Baltimore Museum of Art and\nThe American Visionary Art Museum. We will begin at the Baltimore Museum of Art\nand visit the fabulous collection of Impressionist paintings\, and the largest\ncollection of Matisse in the world! These are all in the Claribel and Etta Cone Wing\nwhere you will also find art by Picasso\, Cezanne\, Degas\, Gauguin\, Van Gogh and\nRenoir. Not to be missed is the collection of 18\,000 Nineteenth century French Art\nthat was donated by George A. Lucas\, as well as art from the Americas\, Asia and the\nPacific Islands. Another wing houses Modern Art and a large collection of newer\n21st century art. (NOTE: Bags larger than 11×15 must go in checkroom.)\nBus will depart the Baltimore Museum at 2:00pm for the second stop. \nThe second stop will be the fun and unique American Visionary Art Museum which\nfeatures self-taught\, “Outsider Art” from artists with no formal training. Here you\nwill find unexpected diverse media along with unique materials created from all\nsegments of society. This very modern building is\, in itself\, a work of art and the\ngift shop called “Sideshow” is not to be missed for its collection of novelties and\nmuseum memorabilia. ( NOTE: No large bags permitted except for medical\nreasons.) \nBecause there is no food served on-site at the Visionary Museum\, we encourage\nyou to have your lunch at the first stop\, where there is a very famous restaurant\ncalled “Gertrude’s Kitchen” specializing in farm-to-table Chesapeake Bay cuisine.\nThere is also a kiosk beside the restaurant for lighter fare.
